The Saudi International Bakery & Pastry Expo 2019, has opened a new way to attract passionate local and international chefs to gather up in one place and compete live in the Ultimate Saudi Chef Competition that is held by WORLDCHEFS President in the culinary Association Chef Thomas Gugler & Chef Yasser Jad the Founder of the Saudi Chefs Association registered with the World Chefs Federation. Three days, nine categories will be evaluated by seven international & local Judges & certified by The World Association Of Chefs Societies.
Being in cooking competitions is a great opportunity to inspire young chefs to represent the KSA on a leading national institution and specialized exhibition in the GCC and the Middle East. The Ultimate Bakery and Pastry Competition offer participant’s personal feedback, working with multiple chefs across the country and exposure to other chefs from different nations across the world will help you gain experience, build a diverse network of professionals and enhance your skills by working under pressure.
World Association of Chefs Societies
The World Association of Chefs’ Societies, or “Worldchefs” in short, is a dynamic network of more than 100 chefs associations representing chefs at all levels and across all specialties worldwide. It was founded in 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris with the venerable August Escoffier as first Honorary President.
The World Association of Chefs' Societies (Worldchefs) is a non-political professional organization, dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of global cuisines.
We accomplish these goals through education, training and professional development of our international membership. As an authority and opinion leader on food, Worldchefs represents a global voice on all issues related to the culinary profession.

For me as the Worldchefs President it is very important to see the young culinarians, bakers and pastry chefs growing in the right way and directions, therefore I am writing to you some of my thoughts in regards to education and development in the field of the hospitality industry.
The most important thing in all the professional fields is to have proper solid know how, a basic education with all the essential parameters required. Take the chance to learn while you are young, be enthusiastic, target driven and open-minded. You will meet in your career many different cultures, nationalities and beliefs, different work philosophies and you must build your own way and path. For this, try to grab every possibility to learn from books, the net and from the masters of the trade.
Experience will help you become a future expert in the field. With such guidance and illustration of culinary expressions and thoughts, it’s only the motivation which will drive you at the end to culinary excellence. Sharpen your senses, your taste buds, your sensitivity and the spirit to develop the “CHEF” inside you.
Join your National “CHEFS” Association registered under the WORLD ORGANISATION and become automatically a member of WORLDCHEFS. Camaraderie, friendship, scholarship programs, competitions and many things that are more interesting are the driving points to join us.
